Pavement Rehabilitation of Foothills Parkway Sections 8G and 8H
Project Description
Foothills Parkway is located in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Blount County, TN. The purpose of the project is to repair the deteriorating infrastructure of the Foothills Parkway in order to enhance safety and improve mobility for all users while reducing ongoing maintenance requirements. The work includes pavement rehabilitation of Foothills Parkway, including scenic pull-offs and parking areas; removal of existing pavement markings, installation of permanent pavement markings, replacement and repairs of drainage structures including: culverts, ditches and paved waterways; replacement of the steel-backed timber guardrail; bridge maintenance repairs; repair of stone masonry parapet walls; removing and replacing sidewalks and resetting stone curbs; reseeding shoulders; replacing existing signs; constructing ADA ramps, replacing gates and traffic loop detectors and other miscellaneous work.
