Description
The research entails resilience research initiatives, which are related to: 1) changing maintenance practices to build resiliency of federal lands transportation assets and 2) deploying the FHWA Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Framework for tribal transportation vulnerability assessments. Together, both projects will strengthen the capacity of FLMAs and tribal communities to prepare for the effects of climate change on their transportation networks by improving the understanding of infrastructure management decisions that are affected by climate change and identifying data and tools relevant to those decisions.
