Introduction
The TFHRC contains 15 laboratories, support facilities, and data sets. Group tours of the TFHRC laboratories are available to transportation officials, state and federal stakeholders, international guests, high schools, colleges and universities on Wednesdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A tour duration is typically 3 hours. International guests should work with the Office of International Programs to set up a tour of the facility.
We request that you schedule your tour at least 30 days in advance so that we can accommodate your specific date and laboratory preferences. We accept group sizes of up to 60 people. For more information about setting up a tour, contact TFHRC-Tours@dot.gov.
Note: All participants 18 years and older will need a government-issued, picture identification card to gain access to the facility. Also, weather can be a factor since we have more than 15 indoor and outdoor laboratories. Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended as there will be standing and walking during the entire tour.
