Reevaluation of the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Cost-Effectiveness Tables (2018)

Project Information

Project ID:
FHWA-PROJ-18-0020
Project Abstract:

23 USC 149(i)(2) specifies that the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) will evaluate projects on a periodic basis, including the development of materials representing the relative cost-effectiveness of a range of projects eligible for congestion mitigation and air quality (CMAQ) funding. The focus of this effort was to update the emissions calculations using motor vehicle emission simulator (MOVES)2014a to generate the cost-effectiveness tables. Updates were also made to the project list, assessment methodologies, project scenarios and analytical techniques used to produce the previous 2015 release of the CMAQ cost-effectiveness tables.
