Project Abstract:
This effort is intended to be a first implementation of vehicle-to-infrastructure communications supporting signal phase and timing. Additional work is planned, but this evaluation and testing supported by the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center is intended as a first step to ensure general concepts and designs do not have flaws that would impact other vehicles or overall traffic flow if they were to be implemented on a larger scale.
