Project Outcomes/Impact:
This project enables advance updates to HPL leadership regarding the status and upcoming review cycles of policy studies; facilitates ability to balance staffing long-term research with special assignments and prioritizing FHWA/USDOT direction; enables early corrective actions to ensure research is progressing as needed; enables coordination of research across research areas to facilitate consistent, up-to-date modeling assumptions and model interfaces; enables recall of previous FHWA policy studies for reference in conversations with OST, OMB, and Congress. This program is directed towards more effective use of FHWA research funds to enable timely delivery of objective, relevant, and internally-reviewed policy research.
