Project Abstract:

The objectives of this project are to determine and/or develop various new/novel highway signs alternatives, to conduct comprehension and legibility testing of these highway signs, and to develop a prioritized list of highway signs alternatives.

These highway signs will be implemented on a variety of roadway facilities such as, but not limited to, interstates, State roads, local roads and National parks highways. These highway signs will be evaluated to determine their effectiveness in decreasing motorcycle crashes on our nation’s highway. The highway signs should be determined and/or developed for four of the five above mentioned crash countermeasures (B to E).
