Project Abstract:
The objective of this project is to provide logistics and technical support for the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC)-Ford cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA), requiring use of close test track or public roads for testing and evaluation.
This work will support the ongoing research on vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications and generate data that will allow a detailed comparison between dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) and long-term evolution (LTE) C-V2X capabilities and performance. It will also allow add to the existing research on critical LTE C-V2X components such as optimal antenna placement on vehicles and scalability using message congestion mitigation techniques.
