CARMA Everything in the Loop (XiL) Phase 1 (TO 19-401)
Project Information
The goal of this project is to develop XiL capabilities to support cooperative driving automation (CDA) research under the CARMA™ program. The first phase of XiL tools will enable software-in-the-loop simulation of CARMA products to support CDA transportation systems management and operations (TSMO) use case development and the CARMA community usage of simulation tools to evaluate CDA.
This phase of the project will develop capabilities for two or more simulated CDA-enabled vehicles to interact through software-in-the-loop. The simulated CDA-enabled vehicle will operate the full CARMA Platform™ stack in a vehicle dynamics simulation environment. In future phases, the interface with input/output ports of the software-in-the-loop will be upgraded to be scalable to support dozens of CDA enabled vehicles.
